Browsing the platform requires no account and no personal details. The trackers, the newsletter archive, the blog, and the agency pages are all readable without identifying yourself.

We collect an email address at three points, each time because you typed it into a form: subscribing to the newsletter, unlocking the modules of a training course after the free first one, and sending a message through the contact form. The contact form also takes a name and the text of your message.

Saved items and course-unlock flags are kept in your own browser's local storage. They are not transmitted to us and we cannot read them.

Newsletter and training email addresses are used to send you the briefing you asked for, to confirm your signup, and to notify the team that a signup happened. Contact-form details are used to reply to you.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not use the subscriber list for advertising or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Subscriber email addresses, the date of signup, and (for training signups) the course title are stored in a managed Redis database operated by Upstash, provisioned through Vercel.

Email is sent through Resend, which processes the recipient address in order to deliver it. Contact-form messages are relayed by Resend to the team and are not written to our database.

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes request metadata such as IP address as part of serving and securing the site.

We use Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics to understand which pages are read and how people arrive. These record technical and usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, referrer, and device and browser characteristics.

We do not use this data to build advertising profiles. Google Analytics sets cookies; you can block them in your browser or with an extension, and the platform works normally without them.

Subscriber records are kept for as long as the briefing runs, or until you ask to be removed.

Analytics data is retained according to the retention setting of the analytics provider.

Every issue of the briefing carries an unsubscribe button, and your mail client may also show its own next to the sender. Both remove your address from the list immediately. You can also go to /unsubscribe directly at any time.

You can also ask us to tell you what we hold about you, or to correct it. Use the contact button on any page and say what you want done.

The platform has a password-protected administration area used to review and publish content. Signing in there sets a session cookie. It is strictly necessary for that sign-in to work and is not used for tracking.
